I Started Out as a Child
I was one of those babies you lie about when you say "He's so cute."

I was all about fast cars and plaid shirts.
Panama
hats! The beginning of my lifelong fascination with silly hats.
Every time I look at this picture I find something else I hate about it. It's the worst of my class photos
The only thing more disturbing than this lame costume is how old I was when I dressed up as Alvin for Halloween.

During the summer of my 14th year I joined the swim team at our local pool club. I was quite possibly the worst swimmer in the history of the club. I couldn't compete with the kids in my age bracket so the coach bumped me down to swim against the really little kids. Most of my opponents were between the ages of 5 and 10. The best I ever did was to place 3rd in one race.
Like most kids my age, I
always wanted to be a Sears catalogue bathrobe model.

At Niagara Falls with a rubber mouse pinned to my shirt. It was the style at the time, remember?
Once the painter cap
fashion caught on I never wanted it to go away.
A
new walkman on Christmas morning. For those of you kids who don't
remember, a "walkman" was a "cassette" player used in primitive
times to listen to pre-recorded music.
Before
collarless shirts came back into fashion we just wacked off the collars.
Spiffy eh?
My first bike and my first car

Here's me pouting about something during my moody teen years.
The next series of pictures is an incomplete set of school ID's depicting my evolution. (Notice that for 2 years in a row I wore the same shirt for ID Picture Day.)

This overly posed series of pictures were staged for school playbill photos.

And this horror is my second least favorite school picture. It's the only one that my own grandmother wouldn't display in her home. (Before you ask, yes... it's a gold lame jacket)

Here's a couple senior year pictures. (I loved wearing fake glasses for some reason that year)
