We Leave Virginia Beach for our Spring
Break Trip up to Michigan.
I hope it's as nice up there as it is down here in Virginia Beach!
Sasha said I was blocking her view of the Hotel TV, so she moved to a better seat.
We arrive at Grandma's house and she immediately puts Sasha to work squeezing oranges for the next day's breakfast.
Oranges are sticky so she needed a good wet-one-wipe-down after work.
Next it was time to decorate Easter Eggs and set them out as an offering to the Bunny.
If the Bunny is pleased with your Egg-Craft you will be rewarded with candy riches.
Sasha stayed up until the wee hours of the morning intricately decorating her eggs.
And it worked! The next morning there was a basket full of candy, toys and games. Just as the legend foretold!
Unable to actually eat candy anymore, Grandpa vicariously takes joy in watching Sasha start her week long candy binge.
After the Easter basket was emptied of treasure we awaited the arrival of Aunt Dawn & Uncle Beans.
Sasha, totally hyped up on marshmallow peeps, just ran around in circles for a few hours while we waited.
Teasing the cats with a ball and string was
fun.
Then Uncle Beans & Aunt Dawn arrived and brought ANOTHER Easter basket for
Sasha that the Bunny had left at their house.
This time, in addition to the basket and present, the Bunny had hidden candy filled carrots around the livingroom
Here you can see one cleverly concealed behind the curtain. Sasha finds another under a chair.
This was so cool! Candy filled carrots all over the room!
Sasha eventually found them all. Good job Sashi!
Those eggs you decorated must have really impressed the Bunny if he brought you TWO Easter baskets!
This basket was full of candy and playdough and this cool green plastic grass.
Sasha obsessive and compulsively lines up, stacks, color codes and organizes her treasure.
Grandma takes a peek and the present the Bunny brought Sashi
Meanwhile Uncle Beans plays with her while Daddy tried to free the new toy from the 32 layers of packaging.
Using only playdough and an otherworldly talent for sculpture, Uncle Beans creates his "Patrick"
Finally free from it's packaging, Sasha sets up her Tinkerbell Tea Set.
And Playdough Patrick is the Guest of Honor!
Grandma heard it's good luck to pull a Fairy's hair. Sasha goes for another Chocky-Pocky (Her favorite Japanese treat)
Aunt Dawn plays tickle-time with Sasha.
Tinkerbell gives Aunt Dawn her blessing before she leaves.
And Grandma gives her a big hug goodbye.
