Halloween Day 3, October 29th.

We decided to go on a Hayride and get our pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns.

Sasha and Holly wait in line for the tractor to pull up.

Sasha and Kenzie enjoyed the ride.

This was Sasha's First Hayride!

We arrived at the Pumpkin field.

But the selection was pretty sparse.  Sasha found one she liked but she really just liked carrying it around.  We left it in the field.

After the ride we ran around the Pumpkin farm for a while and played in the Tee-Pee.

And climbed on the Wooden tractor.

Then we went to the farmer's market to get some real pumpkins that Alan could work with.

Sasha and MaKenzie browse the selection.

This was Sasha's first Pumpkin selecting trip (she slept in the car through it last year after the parade.)

She had a pretty good time, and for the next few days she was obsessed with pumpkins!

That night we went with MaKenzie and Michelle and Bill to a huge Halloween carnival at a local church.
Sasha and I had our picture taken like 100 times
and little kids would run up to us wanting to say "Hi" to Curious George and The man in the Yellow Hat!

They had a really neat thing set up called Trunk-or-Treating.

Basically a couple hundred cars pull into a field with their trunks in a big circle.
Then people dress up and decorate their trunks and the kids walk the big circle and trick-or-treat at the trunks!  It was awesome!

The amount of candy they got was staggering.  Everyone was giving it away by the handful.

We had to keep emptying Sasha and Kenzie's bags into an overflow bag!

There were a few people every day who misinterpreted our costume.
The most popular misconception was that Sasha was a Mouse and I was a big Yellow Mouse Catcher?
A couple people thought she was Little Bear and must have assumed that I wore clothes like this every day?
My favorite misunderstanding happened the next night while Trick-or-Treating.
We were at the house of a pretty old couple who were convinced that I was dressed as Teddy Roosevelt and Sasha was my "Teddy Bear."

There were games too as well as Moonwalk-type inflatables and slides.

There was food, a stage with people performing, a costume contest -
which everybody there insisted we enter, but we apparently didn't win since I didn't get a call the next day :(

But really it was all about the candy...and isn't that the real meaning of Halloween?
