Grandma & Grandpa Wiseman: September Visit

Sasha wears her puppy sweatshirt after a swim in the pool at Grandma & Grandpa's hotel.

The next day we started off with seals at the Virginia Marine Science Museum

Then moved quickly to the otter habitat but we missed the feeding.
You wouldn't think these little monsters could devour a whole live dolphin but there wasn't a scrap left.

Look Sasha, behold the majesty of the savage otters!

We sat and hoped to witness more of their hideous and shocking nature

But instead they just mocked the way we sat and looked with this mediocre impersonation of my family

I tried to pose for a nice picture with Sasha...

...but the Grandparents kept trying to sneak into the shot.

Stare-down contest:  Wiseman's Vs. Owl

"Hey, I thought this place had fishies?"

"Some Marine Science Museum this is.  Is this some sort of aquatic leaf?  Whoop-de-doo!"

Moments later we fed the mouthy baby to a giant shark...

...But she escaped on the back of a friendly dolphin.

1. Sting Rays

Here's Sasha seconds before she plunged her head into the Stingray tank and pulled one out between her teeth.  It took us a while to explain to her that it wasn't a "bobbing" game.

The cruise around Rudy Inlet was fun but Sasha & Grandpa just kept stuffing their faces

Here's the only picture I took of actual fish at the aquarium.  They're hard to photograph.

Sasha takes her cuddle tent to the beach and Holly tries to feed her hand sanitizer

The father and son Boogie Boarding Team attempt to hide their flab by sucking it in and puffing it out

"This crazy day at the beach is making me sleepy"

Always trying to impress Sasha, 
Grandma attempts to scoop melon out of a bowl with her eyes closed as Grandpa looks on in horror

Sasha gathers everyone to watch her Stand-Up Comedy routine on the stairs

"Did you hear about the psychic midget who escaped from jail? 
Yeah the headlines in the newspaper read "SMALL MEDIUM AT LARGE"."

"Wait, I got another.  Why are seagulls called seagulls? 
Because if they flew over the bay, they'd be called bagels!"

Grandma & Grandpa appreciate good humor

  "OK, one more.  A man sits down at a restaurant and looks at the menu. 
He tells the waiter "I think I will have the turtle soup". 
The waiter leaves, but the man changes his mind to pea soup. 
He yells to the waiter "Hold the turtle, make it pea"

We had fun Grandpa & Grandma.  Come visit again soon!
