Sasha takes her first trip out of town to Colonial Williamsburg. Grandma and Grandpa check the map to make sure they don't miss anything good - like the house Thomas Jefferson stopped at to use the bathroom.
Sasha takes her first bus ride! Then Grandma and Holly take Sasha on her first walk down Duke of Gloucester Street. The street where Patrick Henry delivered the famous "Give me one of those old fashioned rock candy sticks or give me death!" speech.
At The King's Arms Tavern, rumored to be one of the toughest, most manly, establishments during colonial times, Dad embarrasses the family by ordering the Raspberry Mint Foofy-Floof.
Holly notes that after the revolution, the name of The Kings Arms Tavern was quietly changed to The President's Legs.
While playing the colonial favorite, "stroller-versus-horse-drawn-carriage-chicken", Holly wimped out and pulled over at the last minute.
Grandma, Grandpa and Holly pose on the lawn of the Governor's Palace. This was considered a hang-able offense back in 1722.
Grandpa takes a picture of Sasha as Holly checks the map to make sure we didn't miss any of the secret make-out spots of George and Martha Washington.
Here I am getting my picture taken with my two favorite things: Sasha and a bunch of guns.
We found out just before we left that we could have left Sasha at the authentic colonial nursery where she seemed excited to try on one of the self-huggy jackets and spend time in one of the Little Patriot Infant Restraint Rooms.
