New Years Eve 2005

Hawaiian New Years Eve always starts the same way.  With a Feast!

We thought Mark was just posing for a funny picture but a few minutes later he was still stuck in the same position.  It was either narcolepsy or excessive drunkenness.

Downstairs, minutes later, with 14th beer in hand the answer was revealed.

Sylvia tries to sober up her Daddy with a pretend coffee.

After dinner it was playtime!  Sasha and Sylvia try out Sasha's new slide from Grandma & Grandpa.
The Rowland girls have their end of the year battle to the death.

Later Maddie denies the fight ever happened
and Tess says she had been working this rubiks cube for the last hour.

Sasha eats 8 or 9 fingers of frosting then chugs a whole bottle of water to keep her weight down.

She sees Anna and Sylvie dressed up like Princesses

Sasha wants to be a princess too!

Hey Everyone, Let's all pose with Sasha!

Whether she likes it or not!

Smile Baby!  Smile!  (And filch that necklace if you can get your hands on it.)

Anna and Sasha spend a little time in the play kitchen.

Then Anna sets out to sell their fresh made plastic vegetables.

Sylvia and Sasha find a good spot to read under the slide.

Sasha decides Daddy needs more flower necklaces.

Daddy takes the last few pictures of Sasha circa 2005.

A big smile from the Baby New Year

"OK, That's enough pictures for now Daddy.  I gotta go watch the ball drop in Times Square."

Grandma calls everyone for the midnight celebration.

Upstairs they run out of Irish Cream and Jeff threatens to kill whoever had the last glass.

I'll give you one guess who it probably was.

Or maybe it was one of these three?  They all look kinda guilty.

It's almost midnight Sasha!  Do you have your tooter ready to toot?

Everyone ready?

3....2....1.....Happy New Year!

Cheers!

Mark and Dad each give Pompa a blast to the ear so he can hear the celebration.

Sasha decides she might just eat her noisemaker unless someone tries to stop her.

As the party winds down everyone gets sleepy.

And huggy.  Which Sasha doesn't seems to mind.

Happy New Year Sasha!

"I think 2006 might be my most fun year ever!"

While everyone is distracted with the celebration
Sasha makes a last minute dash to steal more ornaments from the tree.

The ever-vigilant Angela catches her in the act.

And one more for the road.  Where does Mark get his love for the drinks and spirits?

I guess it'll just be a mystery.
